They should not have to pay a cent. They are already in dept, and have enoughproblems as it is.Helping is forgiving, not lending with such rates.
best of luck comrades. yes the rise of the political right must be confronted. Merkel should be told to take a run and ump
It has broken my heart seeing what is going on in Greece and my empathy and solidarity is with you. This is a wicked, wicked way of running the world, shame on our so called leaders. we are dreading the worsening times here too.
The capital-junkies need to be stopped in their tracks. Bailed out by the governments of sovereign peoples they now want to impoverish them further, forcing austerity to feed their lending/borrowing habits. These are dangerous, divisive times. Only international solidarity and democratic unity can curb these neo-liberal extortionists. Let’s go to it, comrades.
I Agree about the Extent of the Suffering of the Greek People
People in the UK are Suffering whilst politicians and capitalist
roadsters have their lives of riley. they and their evil capitalist
system make the UK a living cloud cuckooland
Let the Poor be Bailed Out and the Rich Pay for this diabolical
economic Crisis
Sweeping Aside the Division and No Choice of the Party Political System
a Higher Standard of Morality in Government such as a devoted sense of
compassion for the poor and vulnerable can be had
The Greek debt is odious , illegal and the afternmath of 2 centuries of usury upon usury , despite this it was lal paid in 1957 but the foreigh and greek creditors bribed the goverment( Papandreou as PM and Mistotakis as chancelor in 1964 with a new Deal to be repaid again on a new 45 years basis ,hence 1964 45 =2009 when the crisis erupted ? random . The debt has to be written off as these private banks have been repaid already multiple times . Greece in the last decade of catastrophic Euro , Greece borrowed form ECB 486 billions euros and the 425 billions went for payment of interest to exisiting debt , the actual deficit of the budget in 10 years was only 17 billions , really needed to be borrowed ,there are still missing some 44 billions but probably went to bribe the politicians or to buy soem German submarines and French frigates
can you see the extent of the exploitation ? Enough is enough , they want to devaluate the country and buy as cheap our petrol, gas and natural resources . Greece is a nation with people and identity it is not a business to follow a liquidation r administration process. All these so called bail outs going to the creditors to keep paying the usury interst , not even a euro to the Greek state . The latest bail out converts Greece formally to the first colony of the neo-colonial EU goverment .
Even in the UK 4 years ago the Goverment without asking the voters bailed out the private banks with taxpayers money and now they attack to pensions and salaries to make up the losses ,
RBS CEO ( >80% has £1 million salary he wanted another one millionf or bonus for the third year of losses in the row , what a scandal and British people still tolerate them ?
Greek people are the first victim of the New Order guided by banks who govern the world , the rest of the europena natiosn will follow , first the PIGS with the new dictatorship EU treaty , whcih Cameron hopefully for us living here , could not afford to sign .
The rich people have to start paying some tax , i read in the BBC news Barclays and Goldman Sachs evading billions of tax as I ahve been paying up to 40% tax my self over the past 7 years working in the UK
Enough is enough!
Let’s resist
Dr Christos Tzivinikos
Paediatrician
Well done Christos, so important for people to get the full complicated history. Was in Athens mid-Feb during Cabinet discussions & protests. Everyone so friendly, lovely clean country. One guy said to me, All we have left is our pride. Bad feelings about involvement of Germany with the convoluted history there is between Greece and Germany, manipulation of news and photos in international media to make the protests look worse than they were. We spent a wonderful evening in the Benaki (free) with a load of police buses lined up outside. Carnival was still on in Heraklion where we went next. They don’t put that in the newspapers.
That said, it was shocking to see so little was being done to help the people on the streets, some in real distress. Also met people who had been working for a year with no pay. Can you imagine if that happened in the UK? There would be total breakdown. Would like to know about any schemes for social enterprises or small start-up schemes? All those skilled people and jobs that obviously needed doing – computer upgrades, things like that.
