Thatcher the God of Greed
We all must remember why the UK is plunging into the deepest financial crises it has ever know in its history, even deeper than the Wall Street crash of 1929 …
For Britain it stared in the 1980s with the most reviled political leader this country has ever spawned, a member of a party whose philosophy has always been and always will be “stuff you lot, we come first”, a party of pure selfishness and ultimate greed….
The Tory Party under the leadership of “The Maggot” decimated our country with her sick sense of worth and greedy attitude to our Nationalised Industries and spectra of the City Spivs rubbing their hands in glee at every “sell off” of what belonged to every man woman and child in Britain. “The Maggot” first made her mark in British politics when she decided that the British school children of the day should not receive free school milk, the first vile sign of her true greedy nature….
That period of time was repugnant to witness; the “Family Silver” was being stolen from its rightful owners, the people of Britain, who were powerless to change the course of history….
Starting with the sale of GPO, this galvanised the “pig-in-the-troth mentality of the City and the Tory party, who grabbed and gobbled whole swathes of the “Silver” that has kept many of them and their aristocratic families in great luxury, even to this very day….
At the time the “Maggot” was worshiped like a demy God by all those foul creatures in the City and a great deal of her party gave praise to the greedy one, mass unemployment was her vile tool to keep the “other half” in their place at the bottom of the heap, typical of many party tricks she lavished on the British public….
She single handed insured closure of nearly all our state owned coal mines and alienated great masses of the British public against her, but her down fall came when the greedy bitch tried and failed to bring in the hated Poll Tax, which caused mass riots all over Britain….
Her sell-by-date had passed; her own gutless MPs were drawing straws to tell her to pack her bags and go, for they knew that she had become a great liability to them winning another election that was on the horizon…..
But the this evil creature had done more damage to the British culture than the historians will ever admit when its time to write her obituary, for she fostered the notion that greed is good and there is no such thing as society, the attitude adopted by millions of young Britons who became known as Yuppies, who are amongst the leading political tribe of the Tory party, for they have the same uncaring attitude as there mentor, the “Maggot”. …
The scene is now set for the final phase of “The Thatcher God of Greed”; politics in Britain is brim full of Thatcher’s children, even in the Labour party her philosophy of “Sell everything” for a fat buck is alive and well, but now it’s called PFI…..
No checks and balances are in place, even after the greedy banks went bust, they still worship the criteria that greed is good and until an example of rightful punishment is meted out to those who stole the worlds wealth, greed will always be good….

Thank you for this ecellent piece of history. Yes I also lived through this evil leaders time in office which was heart breaking to see how she turned families against one another. She also went to war to save her scawny neck clearly illustrating that lives are expendable. I agree with you that was when the rot set in and we started down a slippery slope of greed and sod you mate I’m ok. Todays MPs are a sick bunch of greedy out of touch couldnt care less money fiddling sad excuses for people representatives. I agree also that Blair was so full of promise when he was elected but as you said he was indeed a mark one and a half Tory. I am a GMB branch secretary in Norfolk and am trying my hardest to get politicians to sit up and take stock of what they are doing to the political system. Trust has gone out of the window and people no longer believe in the British political system so apathy is rank and we few carry on to do our best. God help us?

The People’s Assembly Against Austerity. What a great initiative! Following on from The People’s Charter For Change, providing a credible, workable alternative to the austerity attacks on working people, and the TUC’s policy of coordinated industrial action for jobs, services and against austerity, this just could be the spark needed to bring into being the long overdue national fight back against all levels of austerity and privatisation. This just could be the dawn of a new era. Solidarity with all for a future fit for working people!
Maybe I’ve missed it, but shouldn’t we be attacking the government – and all those supporting & implementing the cuts – with the slogan ‘Blood on your hands’?
Plenty of studies through the years have shown that increased poverty – and the stress it causes – means more people suffer serious illnesses, more people die an earlier death and more people commit suicide. This would be bad enough but (a) the government is fully aware of this and (b) the cuts are deliberately being imposed on ordinary people by the government which is fully aware that it was the banks & big business which have caused this current crisis, not ordinary people.
Pointing out to those who may not be aware of the relevant statistics that the Con-Dem policies will be killing people – as opposed to just causing a bit of financial pain – might help generate a bigger wave of opposition.

the same applies to me, they have taken my incapacity benifit off of me and now they are in the process of attacing my dla,the best of it is i have two degenerative illnesses,all my suffering to pay bankers big fat bonuses.

In the absence of any other kind of decent opposition I will support, as an intermediary step, the People’s Assembly, but politicians, and the political parties, are the problem, not the solution. These parties now only have historic reasons to exist, for their only concern now is to get elected, so instead of a prosperous country run for the benefit of all we have a group of largely unelected (look at the pathetic ‘majorities’ they gained, if at all) professional politicians espousing vested-interest policies with no idea or concern about the impact they have on the future of us all. If democracy is to continue, then it needs to move to the next level, where we elect representatives from within the institutions and interest groups and the other building blocks across all tiers of society for a fixed one-time only term to represent their sphere – i.e. people who understand and know their area, be it education, health, food, retail, public service, banking etc etc etc. Our current form of government is highly destructive, unsustainable and incapable of representing the vast majority of people in this country.
What will be the nature of this event? Exactly what will happen for 7h 30m? Also, is it something that one could bring children/young people to, and if so do they need to be registered? Is there a concessionary rate for them or do I just select ‘Individual unwaged’?

I am a supporter through my branch GMB King’s Lynn Number One branch of which I am the branch secretary I am very proud to say we have a number of avtive members working to ensure CoR is high profile in our area I also support CoR as vice chair of the King’s Lynn & District Trades council.
No income, no JSA, about to have to starting paying toward council tax (although I have no idea how) – so I can’t afford to register or get to London, but doing everything I can in my home town.
I remember my grandfather telling me about world war two. he would tell me of the horrors the jewish, the sick, the disabled and other targeted groups had to face in Germany years before the war started. he would speak of murder, theft, slavery, torture and all on a grand scale. Even decades after it had all ended, he would shed a tear and was thankful we would never see it again. he died a couple of decades ago in thatchers government wondering exactly what it was we fought for. He is lucky not to see this rabble. We have a government of thieves slavers and murderers who have violated more human rights, broken more laws, killed more vulnerable than all before in the uk. Democracy is about voting people in or out and parties having opposition. This government wasn’t voted in and clearly there is opposition in the house so where is the democracy? Where is the left wing? Where is the vote of no confidence from the liberals that would break the coalition and topple the government? Why do we have to suffer an obviously corrupt government for a full term? Other countries would have taken the down and shot them. Cameron, Duncan Smith should all be taken down and charged with conspiricy to murder, slavery, theft, fraud and a mass number of human rights violations and they should be imprisoned in dark cells where we should never have to suffer their like again. Austerity is a lie. The country has plenty of wealth, only the rich have over 99% of it and i don,t see them suffering austerity. This is the 21st century, not medieval times
hey frank b , iv,e been spouting all this on twitter for weeks now trying to get people to understand what is going on in briton today,i also liken the con/doms to the nazi party of the 30,s,im not trying to put myself on a pedestal but i can,t help but remember how people used to ridicule winston cherchill when he was warning everyone about what hitler was up to,they are taking every thing away from the sick/diabled&poor,they are forceing people out of thier homes,i read a report that 20.000 deaths have been covered up in the n h s,this must be the modern day concentration camps for extermination of the sick and weak? just how far are we going to let them go.

hi this is great to see, i cant sign up for it yet as my husband lost his job the end of jan and we have 4 kids… been refused benefits because i set up and ran a youth club n worked voluntary over 25hrs running it. I think its a joke I had to give it up and appeal JSA decision now almost 10 weeks without any benefit!! Its a joke we have not claimed benefits in over 10years and that was a few weeks. The job centre said my Husband hadnt paid enough NI… Which he has hes been in the same job years, we’ve sent pay slips to prove it.
I was nominated for a empowering womens award last year for my community work and work with families suffering domestic violence…. Because my husband got laid of I have had to give up work I enjoyed and could fit around my young kids and most importantly benefited my community!
I have seen horrific figures of the number of disabled people dying because of lack or benefits, being forced to work when unfit to do so. It is obvious their assessment system is failing to the point its causing deaths, this government has committed treason against its people, put money and business before our wealth fare, it has enslaved us.. we are all in it together they say, we’ll be in it together when they try living on minimum wage!
The british government are a prime example of the results of power without responsibility and this government is the worst i have ever seen. This combined with the british attitudes of things will “change on their own”, “its not my responsibility” and of course “blow you jack. I’m alright” are why this country is in the mess it’s in. i’ve never seen a government that kept its promises or one brought to account for it’s atrocities. This government is guilty of murder, theft, slavery, fraud, misappropriation of tax payers’ funds treason and a large array of human rights violations. will they ever be brought to justice? I doubt it,

I’ve been on many protests and demonstrations.The next time I want to be dry,warm,noticed and sitting.There are lots of places to make our voices heard. You know where they are. Why does it always have to be outside? It’s time for an English Spring- but inside please.
Amen to that. It was the big march against ‘easyCouncil’ Barnet today, I’d hoped to go but didn’t feel able to take my young child in this bitter cold. Ironically it was publicised as ‘join the Barnet Spring’. Turnout was impressive despite the weather.
this government tis very similar to the nazis in the 1930. one can even make direct comparisons. however hitler found the time to reoair the german economy in the times he wasn;t murdering an enslaving innocent people. our own government has destroyed ours. I kind of hope the hindus or buddhists are right about karma. If so those of us who loved and suffered through the last three governments will come back as gods and these so called politicians wil come back as an atom.
I am a simple soul and becoming increasingly so. The Government claims it has no money – it does have some but in the final analysis, it is ours, also it seems to have ample funds for various ‘Vanity Projects’. The banks claim they have no monies available for lending, and small to medium sized businesses cannot borrow from them. I, as an idividual, now have less money than ever before. Less than a decade ago various financial institutions kept asking me to borrow from them, or at least take out Credit Cards and the like. If all this at one time available money has suddenly disappeared, where has it gone. Did it really exist in the first place, and if so, who has it now?
I agree with all of the comments posted. We could have avoided the Falklands war IF the South Atlantic Fleet had not been reduced,letting the Argentinian Government think they would walk in and take over with nobody to oppose them.
I wish you all the best and will help if I can, although 70 and not in the best of health, we MUST ALL make a STAND, I have Grandchildren between thw ages of 12years to 20 months, I wish to leave them with a better Great Britain than we have had since 1980.

The “bedroom tax” is the Tories’ master coup. The net effect will be to liberate masses of vulnerable people from their homes, so that if a Labour Government takes over in 2015 they will be confronted with the greatest homelessness crisis in modern times, and will be powerless to do anything about it – even if they have the will to – because most of the homes which were stolen from these poor people will be in private hands. This satanic strategy, if successful, will herald the irreversible end of our welfare state. Resistance has got to start now, which is why I am so heartened to hear of the People’s Assembly against austerity, and will support it in whatever way I can. These neo-Nazis must be defeated, or God help us all.
So many of us can’t be there with you is there something we can do on the ay to show solidarity????? anything badge / poster / color clothing / rally points……….please help us show that we mean business and that there are millions of us……….we are facing the total meltdown of society for the ideology of a few greedy people.

I support anyone who is willing to fight against the cuts this government have brought in. I do not believe there is a recession, we are NOT all in it together. There are many people in this country who have plenty, nice comfortable lives, and who could not care a less about the few who are struggling and suffering.
