Amazing News. 300 Virgin Care GPs have ended their partnership with Virgin Care after pressure put on them over the conflict of interest between Virgin GPs commissioning £60 billion of taxpayers’ money on the CCGs.
The now Ex-Virgin GPs announced their mass resignation tonight. My piece at the weekend identified 76-91 Virgin GPs who held Committee Board positions on CCGs and showed the shocking levels of conflict of interest that existed. You can read my piece here (this link). Virgin Care’s entire regional infrastructure is now utterly dismantled. This destroys any hopes Virgin Care have of winning various chunks of NHS services throughout England. As I type, about 18 Virgin Care contracts at various medical practices will be reverting to GP practices. Savour this moment.

As of now, not 1 GP in the whole of the UK is involved in a Virgin Care partnership. Victory is ours. Well done to @Debbie_Abrahams MP who raised it in Prime Minister’s Questions today.
